What These Fees Cover
Airlines-Deal applies post-ticketing service fees whenever your booking is modified after the airline ticket has already been issued. The fees pay for the administrative work, the coordination with the airline and the ticket reissue that your change requires. They are separate from, and come on top of, any fees or fare differences the airline itself charges.
Plans can shift without warning, and our team is ready to help you handle any change with as little hassle as possible. The post-ticketing fees that may apply are set out in detail below.

Changing Your Travel Date or Time
Moving your flight to a different date or time once the ticket is issued carries a post-ticketing service fee of up to $75.00 per passenger. The fee pays for finding alternative flights, working with the airline, recalculating the fare and taxes and reissuing your ticket. Be aware that the airline may add its own change fee, and any fare difference between the original and the new itinerary is collected when the change is made.
Changing Your Route or Destination
A change to your itinerary's routing or destination after ticketing carries a post-ticketing service fee of up to $75.00 per passenger. Such changes usually mean a more involved fare recalculation, and the original ticket may have to be refunded and a new one issued. Any airline change fee and fare difference is charged on top of our service fee.
Correcting a Name
Small name corrections -- fixing a misspelling, adding a middle name or correcting a suffix -- carry a service fee of up to $50.00 per passenger. Every correction has to meet the airline's name change policy, and some airlines tightly limit which name changes they accept after ticketing. Airlines generally do not allow major name changes (for example, replacing the traveler with someone else), which may mean cancelling and booking again.
Cancelling Your Booking
If you decide to cancel voluntarily after the ticket is issued, a cancellation processing fee of up to $75.00 per passenger applies. It pays for handling your cancellation with the airline and processing any refund you qualify for. Whether the airfare comes back to you depends on your ticket's fare rules -- a non-refundable ticket normally leads to an airline credit, not a cash refund. Our cancellation processing fee cannot be refunded.
Processing a Refund
Where a refund is due (for refundable tickets, cancellations made by the airline or schedule changes), a refund processing fee of up to $50.00 per passenger may be charged. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually take 60 to 90 business days to show on your statement, depending on the airline and your bank. The fee pays for coordinating with the airline, filing the refund request and following up where needed.

- After a change or cancellation has been processed, post-ticketing service fees cannot be refunded
